Santa Monica is a beach city and enjoys the typical Southern California coastline sunshine and ocean breezes, but still close enough to LA to keep you in touch with one of the countries hottest design centers.
The Contact Us, Section of the website has counselors, advisors, departmental secretaries and more. There is also a page of directions, and links to maps on the Contact Us > Maps & Directions page.
Four Website Navigation Choices:
- Buttons: The website is divided up into 8 main category buttons at the top of each page. When you are in a particular category, that category button will appear depressed. The left hand navigation side bar buttons will take you to any of the pages within that main category, they too will appear depressed when you are on a chosen page.
- "Bread Crumb" Links: At the top of each page, in between the Header and Title of the page, is a small row of links always starting from Home. Where ever you are in the website, you can easily retrace where you've been by clicking on these links.
- List of text-links at the page bottom: To avoid having to go to the top of the page every time you want to navigate to another page, there are two rows of small text-links at the bottom of each page duplicating the large top buttons and left side bar buttons.
- Site Map: And finally, for those of you that prefer to see the whole picture at once, there is a site map page that lists all 8 categories and all of the pages in each category. The lists are all hot-links that you click. The link to the site map is located at the bottom of every page, on the end of the text-link row mentioned above.
One final navigational note: There are pages that open up in a "new window" (or tab). You'll recognize these by the missing dark & light blue background. These pages (or tabs) never link back to the website and should be closed when you're finished with them, otherwise they start to accumulate and get in the way.
Please report any navigational problems by using the email link located very bottom right of every page.
